Hand weaving has an important place in traditional Turkish arts. For Turks, animal husbandry has been an important source of livelihood in Central Asia. There were large herds of animals. They therefore benefited from the hair and wool of their animals. Turks have pioneered the art of weaving throughout history. Weaving has been an important occupation for Turks from Central Asia to Anatolia. Weaving has been a culturally valuable product between past and present. Every period of human life has been intertwined with textiles. East Turkestan is an important geography that has been dominated by Turks throughout history. Turkish states such as Hun, Tabgaç, Göktürk, Uygur, Karluk and Karahanlı lived in these lands.East Turkestan has been having problems with Chinese government despite its autonomous structure. Due to the oppressive system in the region, there is no sufficient field study about East Turkestan culture. Kasim family lived in East Turkestan in the profession of carpets As a result of the repressive administration in East Turkestan, the Kasımi family settled in Istanbul and brought with them some of the carpets they had woven together. These carpets, which have no pattern, were written in a calligraphy style with Uygur (Hakaniye) Turkish. Woven as arras. In this study, the carpets in the Kasımi family collection will be examined in terms of technical and pattern features. Theree carpet werw included in the research. In one of the carpets Yusuf Hac Hacib has a poem. In one of the carpets Luptulla Muttalib has a poem. The third carpet is written Besmele.
